Oreo Hotel

Oreo Hotel KasHaving just been renovated for 2012, the Oreo Hotel is a modestly priced favorite among the adventure travel crowd. Most guests who stay at the Oreo are booked on packages that include diving, sea-kayaking and the like, so it can be quiet during the day and quite festive in the early evening by the pool.

This is a definite upgrade from most of the cheaper hotels in Kas, with a beautiful pool area and air conditioning in every room. The rooms are simple but spotless and the breakfasts and dinners are very popular, even among those not staying at the hotel.

What the reviews say

Reviews for the Oreo Hotel tend to be very positive, which is especially encouraging when you consider that the majority of guests are booked in as part of groups for adventure tours rather than them choosing the hotel on its own. Nearly all guests say that the Oreo exceeded their expectations as a 2-star hotel.

The rooms and especially the views get very high marks, though some do note that the showers are somewhat small. The food and the pool are also big favorites, as is the service and the staff itself.
